Quality Assurance Excellence
At Calevance, quality is a necessity, not an option. As a group of farmers united to supply our farm produce to world cuisine, we implement comprehensive quality control measures at every stage—from our farms to your table—ensuring that only premium spices reach our customers.
Our Quality Process
A formalized system to carefully scrutinize all our products.
We have implemented a comprehensive quality assurance process with multiple stages to carefully examine every product and complement the needs of our clients, from farm to final delivery.
Stage 1 - Farm Visits
The process of quality check starts right from the farm. As farmers ourselves, we have intimate knowledge of soil quality and weather conditions. Our dedicated team conducts regular farm visits throughout India, interacting with fellow farmers to share insights on soil quality and optimal weather conditions for crops.
Key Activities:
- Regular farm visits and inspections
- Farmer collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Soil quality assessment and testing
- Weather condition monitoring for optimal harvest
- Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) implementation
Stage 2 - Raw Material Acquisition
All raw materials are procured with immense care, either directly from our farms or through trusted farmer networks. Every batch undergoes thorough inspection for quality parameters including moisture content, foreign matter, and overall condition before acceptance.
Key Activities:
- Direct procurement from certified farms
- Visual inspection by trained personnel
- Moisture content analysis
- Foreign matter detection and removal
- Color, aroma, and grade assessment
Stage 3 - Processing and Packaging
We have a team of specialists dedicated to processing, packing, and loading. Throughout the entire procedure, we remain extremely vigilant to ensure no extraneous matter is present in our cargo. Our facilities follow HACCP principles and maintain strict hygiene standards.
Key Activities:
- Cleaning and sorting processes
- Temperature and humidity control
- Multiple quality checkpoints during processing
- Hygienic packaging procedures
- Equipment sanitization protocols
- Final inspection before sealing
Laboratory Testing
Quality is our top priority, hence lab tests and certifications for our cargo are obtained on a regular basis. Our laboratory conducts extensive testing for microbiological contaminants, pesticide residues, heavy metals, and aflatoxins to meet international safety standards.
Key Activities:
- Microbiological analysis
- Pesticide residue testing (MRL compliance)
- Heavy metal screening
- Aflatoxin detection
- Physical and chemical parameter testing
- Certificate of analysis issuance
Stage 4 - Shipping
For the shipping process, we use third-party certification and in-house checklists to inspect every container. All containers are thoroughly checked to meet food safety standards before transportation. We provide weight and quality reports to our clients based on their specific requirements.
Key Activities:
- Container inspection and certification
- Food safety standards verification
- Third-party quality certification
- Weight and quality report preparation
- Proper documentation and labeling
- Temperature-controlled transportation when required

We follow HACCP principles throughout our operations to identify and control potential hazards. This systematic approach ensures food safety from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products. Regular lab tests and certifications are obtained for all our cargo.
Traceability & Reports
Complete supply chain transparency.
Our traceability system allows us to track every batch from our farms to the final customer. We provide weight and quality reports to our clients based on their specific requirements. Each product is assigned a unique lot number that contains complete information about its origin and processing history.
What our traceability system tracks:
- Farm identification and location
- Harvest date and batch number
- Processing facility and date
- Laboratory test results
- Packaging date and lot number
- Storage conditions and duration
- Container inspection records
- Shipping date and destination
- Weight and quality reports
- Complete documentation chain
